We have only got a skiff of snow that has all melted now. We haven't even had to break out the snow shovels yet!! We've had a couple days where the roads were yucky and icy but nothing compared to other years. I'm totally okay with just having a rainy winter instead of a snowy winter.
We started out the month of January with extremely cold temperatures with the highs in the 20's and the lows in the teens. Haven't liked that at all. Towards the end of the month we had days in the 40's and I've been able to go outside with just my sweatshirt and not have to put on a jacket or coat. The funny thing is Florida got 2 ft of snow while we sit here with nothing!
Jerkface inauguration was awful--he has executive ordered a bunch of crap for the last 10 days and I can't even stand to read the news because of all the crap. He of course has no empathy or sympathy for anyone--it's all about him. May he be cursed to have a heart attack or stroke and die in the next 30 days!
This month has been my month of paper lanterns on my etsy shop. I sold 10 Chinese New Year Lanterns this month!!
Karena started out with 2 in person classes at the South City Campus and then because of a class cancelation and her dropping another class she now has all of her college classes online except for 1 her jewelry 2 class but she had to work overtime to get into that class!
I had another blood test dr appt that didn't go so great--my body just refused to give blood until the last second. My blood tests results were not great but at least my iron levels came up from 0 to 40! I'm now on a eat less sugar and eat more healthy fats kick and trying to get in a minimum of 4,500 steps 5 days a week which I've done okay with. Roland and I started a new type of Hawthorne vitamin and a new Berberine vitamin in hopes of it helping to lower our blood pressures, diabetes level, and cholesterol--would also be nice if I could loose some weight with it too.
The baby loss things I ordered for Tiffany came so I sent them to her.
Kristen got a new boss at work so she had to cover new hours of 11-2 each day except Wed. so I moved my grocery day to Wed.
We were finally able to go to the temple last night. It was nice to escape all the worries here and feel some peace. I ended up being the first person in the Celestial Room and that was awesome to have it to myself for just a little bit.
Our old printer got jammed up this week and we tried everything to perform surgery to get the paper out. We were able to get the paper out, but, the printer just continually jammed after that so we had to say goodbye to it and buy another printer. We've had that printer for over 5 years so the longest we have ever kept a printer alive! It was printing pretty yucky this past year with constant lines so it was time to let it go.
I tried to make applesauce oatmeal cookies on the anniversary of my Dad's death date, but they turned out horrible! I just felt really alone on that day.
